The main source of external data is the SAP HCM database. The scope of the data in the SAP HCM database was extended to consider the whole SAP data space, as well as other, non-SAP data sources so that the data necessary for the applications can also be connected or retrieved from these sources (Connecting Existing Data.)
's database is designed to integrate the data from the whole extended data space. The database also stores additional data – missing in the external sources – defined and entered by the users or resulting from the applications' data functions. They are stored as transactional data updatable by the users or applications. (Creating Transactional Data.)
The synergy of the integrated external and transactional data in 's database is utilized by the suite's analytical and reporting capabilities to create pre-fabricated, user-defined, ad-hoc aggregated or detailed reports that can be delivered to end-users via a variety of delivery mechanisms. These capabilities can be further advanced to integrate with such SAP facilities such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, NetWeaver and etc. |
